Keeping active is the key to being productive. You should alternate between standing and sitting in order to keep your body happy. Distractions come in many forms from TV and phones to people you live with. So if you are easily distracted it’s time to remove those interruptions now. Tell the people you live with that you want some peace whilst you study and turn your phone off until after your session. Stay concentrated and your hard work will pay off!
Don’t forget to eat!
You should keep a supply of snacks by your side whilst you learn in case you find yourself working up an appetite. Try brain foods such as: blueberries or nuts. Did you know that research has shown that productivity peaks when you’re slightly hungry, so try to only eat as much as your body needs to get it 80% full. A big meal will only make you sleepy and your body would devote more energy on digesting the food than to brain power.
Take a break
It is very important to take a break whilst studying, as it improves your concentration. To really get the best out of your break you should get your blood flowing with regular exercise sessions between blocks of studying. This will improve your memory and thinking skills!
